Kevin Lanier Moore (Kaoz) is a native Clevelander, award winning writer, actor, spoken word artist and
educator. He began his artistic career appearing in countless plays, and has performed supporting roles
in two independent films and represented Cleveland in National Poetry Slams twice. Kaoz has shared stages with major label acts such as Dead Prez, Mos Def, MIMS, Syleena Johnson and Brandy Norwood and has emceed in Ohio, D.C., Dallas, Boston, New York, Florida, Chicago, Detroit, and Toronto, ON. Next Kaoz returned to hip hop, being open about his sexuality and released The Tyler Durden EP (Experience) & The Tyler Durden Mixtape (2010). Kaoz executive produced and co-wrote Kaoz Presents: Real Talk MPLS - which tackles HIV/STI prevention, stigma and homophobia (2011). He released EnterSextions (February 2013). He has also been a featured at Queertopia: a GLBT Cabaret at Intermedia Arts in MPLS. As part of the Hip Hop Against Homophobia (HHAH) collective he’s performed at many high schools and universities. Kaoz is also co-creator and lead writer for AKA:Fathers/Sons community theater piece produced by Bedlam Theater (summer 2014). Kaoz has been recognized for his work in GLBT communities of color receiving the Harold PhilPot Youth Leadership Award from National AIDS Education & Services for Minorities (NAESM) for his groundbreaking work with Young Men who have sex with men of color. Kaoz recently completed BlackEsque: QueErotica Tour: a 9 city tour spanning South West and West Coast cities. He dropped his new album “The End is Beginning” in June 2015.
